The frame is the single most important component in your bicycle. Like the foundation of a house, the frame is what a great bike is built upon. We have carefully considered the fit of every model in our line, and built frames for all types of riders, and every type of ride. We strive to build not only superbly constructed frames that are lightweight and durable, but frames that are engineered utilising cutting edge technology to support and emphasise specific ride characteristics.

To achieve this, we use Autodesk products to conceptually design Marin frames through 3-dimensional drafting and detailing in order to attain the perfect geometry for every bike. Different categories of bikes are intended for different riding conditions. For example, we carefully model and test a rider's fit and frame geometry until we achieve the optimal desired results. While computer modelling enables our Product Development department to begin the testing process steps ahead of the drafting table and calculator, we believe that there is no alternative to actual bicycle riding.

Every Marin bike is painstakingly designed and tested before it reaches the production floor. You can rest assured that whether it's a slacker head tube angle on the Quake 7.1 or telescoping headtube on the Redwood or Fairfax, each bike was designed with performance, comfort, and aesthetics in mind. If it is an upright riding position with confident steering, an aggressive and responsive position on a road racing model, or a low slung centre of gravity on a XC trail bike, the Marin Product Department has painstakingly stressed the small stuff so you won't have to.
