QUAD XLT: Fast? We think so. Speed, however, is nothing without control. With nearly 7" of travel, these bikes can rip. The Quad XLT suspension system works on a four pivot, floating swingarm principle, with the path of the rear axle tuned to cancel out pedaling forces and to conform to terrain effectively. Complex engineering, yet simple operation helps us keep the weight down on our longest travel bike. We've designed the bike to be incredibly stable by capturing the shock within the suspension parts to lower the bike's center of gravity. Onboard a Marin Quake, our riders, along with local hero Kyle Ritchey achieved a 1st 2nd and 3rd at the legendary Squamish downhill event and Shaums has also won the World Masters at Sun Peaks in British Colombia, underlining the fantastic performance of the Quake.
Racing in the 30-34 elite men’s event, Shaums said later: “I am blown away by this bike. The Quake rocks. There’s nothing that comes close.”
