Chaingrowth occurs during the travel of a suspension system due to the increase in the distance between the centre of the bottom bracket and the centre of the rear wheel. Too little chaingrowth makes a bike bob and have poor traction, too much and the bike will rise on every pedal stroke and suffer noticeable pedal feedback, transferring the shock of any big bumps through the transmission to the rider. The QUAD-Link system has been designed to optimise chain growth for maximum efficiency throughout the suspension’s travel, generating just enough early on to pull the wheel into the ground providing fantastic traction. Further through its travel, the QUAD-Link system allows the chain growth to gradually reduce to zero, virtually eliminating pedal feedback, improving handling and comfort and reducing rider fatigue.

The Instantaneous Pivot centre (IPC), and its movement during suspension travel, determine the bike’s suspension characteristics and how it responds to terrain and rider input. Our intelligent system constantly adjusts its IPC to ensure that wherever the suspension is in its travel, the IPC is in the optimum position for maximum performance and efficiency.

Following our straight forward approach of form follows function, the look of all our QUAD-Link designs is clean, simple and elegant. A perfectly balanced, totally symmetrical, lightweight assembly. The left to right symmetry gives uncompromised handling, a very important characteristic when pushing your bike and yourself to the limits.
