Most suspension bikes drive the shock off a rotating linkage with a fixed pivot centre, meaning that their shock movement is proportional to the wheel movement throughout the whole travel. With the QUAD-Link system, the shock is driven directly off the swingarm that is pivoted on a moving centre (IPC) allowing us to tune our shock to move proportionately less early on in the travel, giving the bike a much plusher longtravel feel and making the suspension much more sensitive to smaller bumps. As the wheel moves through its travel, the wheel to shock ratio decreases, meaning proportionately more shock travel to wheel movement, and stopping the bike from blowing through its travel on big hits.
Short links are faster to react, lighter and stiffer. Designed to be as short as possible they move quickly to produce rapid and controlled shifts in the IPC, allowing us to generate the most intelligent axle paths and simultaneously tuning wheel to shock ratios for the best performance and efficiency at all times.
