Following our recent product road shows the UK Cycling Press and Dealers have seen the 2013 road range for the 1st time.

With 5 bikes in the UK line up this is a departure for Marin in the UK and we are really excited about it!

“A range of Marin road bikes will be available in the UK for 2013, including a carbon model that features a sub-900g frame.

California’s Marin are best known as a mountain bike company although they’ve been producing road bikes for years – it’s just that not many have been imported into the UK before. Next year there will be five road models in the line-up.

The Verona is the top-of-the-range road bike. These pictures, by the way, are of a pre-production model. The cables will run internally on the real thing, for example, and the decals will be tidier, but this gives you a general idea of what the bike will look like”.

“Best known in the UK for its mountain bikes, US brandMarin will be adding four road bikes to its range later this year.

It’s not as strange a move as it initially sounds – the Californian company has made a big impact with its flat bar commuting range in the UK and has actually been selling road bikes in its home market for two decades.

The flagship bike is the Verona T3 Carbon. With a full carbon 900g frame, a Shimano Tiagra double mated to an FSA Gossamer compact, Shimano R500 wheels and a sportive-friendly ‘Endurance Fit’ geometry it looks like a highly competitive package. The production model will even have fully integrated cabling for both brakes and gears”.
