Billy Whenman, the tireless Marin bombshell celebrated his 19th birthday in style in Thetford Forest. Although a mechanical failure saw him ruled out of contention for the NPS he recovered to take his first podium in the national Whyte-sponsored endurance event on the Sunday. Following hot on the heels of the superb trail of reviews for the 2008 Marin product, Bike Magic’s Mike Davis has turned his attention to the Wolf Ridge and he loves it! Marin Downhiller Kate Betts ignored a doubvle-fracture finger injury on a wooden bridge at Cwmcarn in the first round of the Dragon to come in fourth and retain her position as the overall women’s masters’ leader.
