Well done to the Marin XM 7 for making the What MTB Trail Bike of the Year Top Ten!

“Marin was one of the first to really get aggressive with it’s trail bike geometry”.

“A naturally playful and confident UK-proof trail machine…”

Muddy good fun! …. I recently had the pleasure of a bit of off-road action in the Wyre forest with my father and friend. It was cold but remarkably free of really gloopy mud,  i had the joy of riding an older Mount Vision which was an absolute blast! Really light weight and fun to throw around, great to climb on with a real smile factor on the downs. What a laugh, bring on the dryer weather???

Many thanks to all those who came to see us at The London Bike show last weekend.

Here is a gallery of images and some potted hi-lights from www.road.cc

We first showed you a pre-production of the new Marin Verona T3 last summer. The carbon frame comes in at under 900g, which is superlight.

The model we showed you before had external cables but they’re now routed internally. That’s not a monocoque frame, by the way, it’s created by a tube-to-tube method – the tubes are mitred together and then wrapped. It comes in an ‘endurance fit’ with a tall head tube, and Marin spec a compact chainset and 25mm tyres.

Bike Radar take a 1st look at the Marin Mount Vision XM 7  – latest in a long line of trail classics.

Marin’s long-running Mount Vision has been a hit with UK trail riders for well over a decade. This is a mild refresh of the company’s Quad Link 3.0 rear suspension system, now with a 142mm rear axle for added rigidity.

Marin’s long-running Mount Vision has been a hit with UK trail riders for well over a decade. This is a mild refresh of the company’s Quad Link 3.0 rear suspension system, now with a 142mm rear axle for added rigidity. Can the Mount Vision still cut it?

Ride & handling: Easygoing enough to flatter all abilities

The Mount Vision’s status as a UK trail favourite means there’s plenty of pressure to deliver. The good news is that Marin have mostly got it right.

Combining a roomy top tube with slack front end and short stem has given plenty of room to stretch out and get the power down on the one hand, but also provided enough flickability up front to make the Mount Vision more fun to ride in the rough than you might expect.
